A Japanese theologian once wrote that he believed God moves at 3 miles an hour, which is the average speed of a human walking.  I believe that most of us miss out on a great deal of life because we are moving through our lives much faster than that. I have embraced walking as a way of effectively observing what may otherwise remain hidden from a casual glance.  My images reflect the different nuances, unique perspectives, and hidden surprises that are only evident while walking the neighborhoods and landscapes we more often crash through on the way to our assumed destinations. You may not remember these specific images down the road, but I hope they will inspire you to consider practicing your own version of
